From East to West : Books 1 to 3 (From East to West Books)
About
Toulouse Blanc comes from a family of shoemakers and spends his childhood in a small town in Eastern France without ever going anywhere else. His life changes dramatically when his family receives a letter from a long lost relative, Uncle Ethan, asking one of them to meet him in Sacramento, California USA to claim some of his wealth. The letter is complete with instructions and enough money for one person to travel first class to America. Being the only son able to go, Toulouse Blanc travels to California.
However, when he finally gets to Sacramento, there is no Ethan Blanc to meet him. Desperately, Toulouse searches for his uncle until he finally realizes that he for some reason must’ve been tricked. Dark reality hits him; he has practically no money and he is stranded in a foreign land with no family and no way to go home.
Toulouse eventually finds work as a mail courier for the Stallion Express. This work proves to be rigorous and dangerous. He soon grows bitter because of his negative circumstances, and becomes cold. However, something else was in store for him, something that would change his life even more than when he traveled to America.
